Cougars Games 5, 6, & 7

Feb 14, 21, 28

A big win on the 14th was the end of a 3 game winning streak.

Next on the 21st we lost a close 1 point game in the last few seconds.

The 28th we struggled to hit our shots ending in a very low scoring 17-14 loss.

With only one game left we need to get back to our wining ways.

Cougars Game #4, 2/7/09

This was our best game so far this year. We played the Jaguars that beat us in our first game this season. Being a couple players short everybody stepped up & had to play a little extra. We tried to not run the players to death by shuffling the roster around. The hard work paid of with a big 27-15 win. Colby & Megan’s hustle & hard work along with Anna & Brik playing a great defensive game to go along with the offensive work of Cody, Brady, Cameron S., & Jacob. That’s a great team effort. Keep up the good work.

Bears Game #4, 2/7/09

Picture Day! I’m glad we only have one of them a year. We had to have the kids there extra early (7:45am). Getting a group of 3 & 4 year old kids to stand in line, wait their turn, then do it again for the team picture. Then having them all sit still at the same time to click the camera. The biggest chore this year so far. I was holding 2 just to keep them in the picture while talking to my own. Finally we said just take it. I can’t wait to see how it turned out. It will probably be the wildest team picture I’ve been a part of.

Game time came around and our opponent was still taking

their pictures then when they were ready we had no referee. Our 8:30am game got started at 9:00. We normally get there about 8:20am & are gone by 9:15am. I was just looking for players that wanted to play by this time, the little ones on both teams were tired & ready to go. The game ended as it started 0-0. Glad that week’s over. Keep playing hard Bears.

Bears Game #3, 1/31/09

1, 2, 3, BEARS

The little ones are starting to get it! We are going in the right direction, most of the time. We’re keeping our hands off the ball. & several of the players are turning the ball around to go in the right direction before kicking it. We scored 2 goals & held the Baby Ants to 0 goals.

Cougars Game #2 & #3

Cougars vs Bobcats, 1/24/09

We played a pretty good game week #2 against the Bobcats leading all but the last 10 seconds. A heart crushing foul with 10 seconds left in the game caused us to loose a game we should of won 25-24.

Cougars vs Panthers, 1/31/2009
Going into week #3 against the Panthers to opposing team was talking up the fact they were undefeated. Less then an hour later in a defensive game they would no longer be undefeated & we would have finally got over the hump for our first win 15-13.
Hard work…Pays off.

Cougars Game #1, 1/17/09

With only one practice under their belt the Cougars headed onto the hardwood for game #1 against the Jaguars. Falling behind early 2-14, the Cougars had to work from behind all game. Never quitting they pulled the score to within 4 points during the final period & ended the game with a hard fought loss, 18-24.
