Junior High Week 2

We had a rough game this week. We fumbled, got intercepted, & played in the dark & still had a chance to win the game on the last play of the night. (If we had lights we would of won.) We still came out with a 6-6 tie with Nichols JHS. After this week I'm even more proud of Brik. Everybody wants to be a QB, RB, WR, etc. But the Center is over looked way to often. With the 6 other JH/Middle school teams I've seen I can easily say Brik's hard work at centering the ball is ahead of the others at his age. Coach Allen told Brik to work on centering last spring & he spent the summer doing that & it has payed off.

This week I got the chance to go to the Danny Jones vs T.A. Howard game to watch some of my former players. Curtis, Dejuan, & Travonne had good games. The Danny Jones coach needs to get Aaron the ball. Howard wins a close one 7-6.

Week 2 vs Mansfield Jungle Cats, 9/18/10

Week 2 we were at our home field. I was happy to see Jaxon had a better game & had a lot of fun. It was very hot & the boys were getting tired. Justin got a couple touchdowns to go along with Jeremiah's. We are having fun.

Junior High Football Week 1

All my ABD graduates played their first football games for their Junior High & Middle schools.

Brik & DJ made the Gold "A" team while AJ made the Black "A" team for Barnett JHS.

Brik & DJ Jordan won their game 14-0 against Gunn JHS. Brik centered the ball great. I was very proud of him. DJ had a very solid game with a big block to allow a kick return touchdown. AJ had a big hit & won his game also.

Blake Gross played in the "B" team game for Gunn JHS. He had two kick-off returns & almost scored a receiving touchdown.

Week 1 vs Blue Raider Little Colts, 9/11/10

Thanks to the Blue Raider Little Colts for playing us this week. We would of had no game but BR Colts invited us over & we had a good time. A lot of extra pushing that we will need to work on but things were aright. Great Job Flag Blue & an extra big hand for Jeremiah 4 or 5 TD's not sure.

Our little ones have a lot to learn still. Thanks to Coach Phil for talking one particular little one off the log and onto the field (we won’t name names).

Also, Thanks to the parents for bring your boys out to practice & the game.

ABD Mini Camp July 31st 2010

Summer 2010

A lot when on this past summer & I’m way behind reporting on any of it. We skipped the North Texas Youth Football Association camp & took the family to Disney world.

Shortly after getting back from WDW Brik & I headed to CampLT. I got my shot to run the O & D line for the Junior High boys & made the most of the opportunity. Coach Phil, Phillip II, & Aaron Hammer were there also. Curtis came for a little while but had to leave for his baseball tournament. Brik, Curtis, & Aaron won awards during the camp. My Clutchball team went undefeated & won the Junior High Clutchball Superbowl.


A couple weeks later Brik, Curtis, & Phillip II went to Jay Novacek’s football camp. Although a lot more low key then CampLT all three did very well. Phillip II got a lot for LB work while Curtis spent most of the camp working with the high school boys in drills. Brik “JACKED” some kid up, during one of their football games, the kid feet came up off the ground. Everybody stopped to watch it. I was great. Brik got a lot of work with the high school coaches on centering. Brik & Curtis' team went undefeated & lost in the Superbowl.
