ABD Flag Blue, Week 8

We finished our last game of the regular season at Hutchins JHS against the Mansfield Cubs. The reverse finally worked & we had a good day. Jaxon had his best game of the season. Next is Flag Play Day then the party.

Barnett JHS vs Workman JHS

Brik's last game of the 7th grade season. They finally opened up a can of Whoop-Axx on someone. 20-0 win. We played at Workman so we had the lights. They couldn't screw us out of any clock time. 7th grade football in Arlington is something different then what I am used to but I think Brik had fun. If he keeps working on it and makes the 8th grade "A" team we will be back to competive ball again.

The Storm was rolling in but we got the 1st half of the game played.

This game really ticked me off. We got a head of Boles early even though things want against us. Boles scored just before halftime to make it a one score game. We kicked off & Boles went down the field & tied the game. As soon as it was our time to get the ball the referees stopped the game with 3:19 left in the 3rd Qtr. AISD needs to get lights put in. We can't even get 3 full qtrs. played of an already shortened game. Brik plays center & since we didn't get the ball his game was over before halftime. I'm ready for 8th grade "A" team. 16-16 "Tie". We should of won!

We had a fun time playing Flag White this past weekend. The field at Grand Prairie was sloppy muddy.

After standing out in the rain for hours trying to set up AISD called & closed the fields down & rained out the home games. All the games except Flag Blue & Flag White got made up.

Junior High Week 2

We had a rough game this week. We fumbled, got intercepted, & played in the dark & still had a chance to win the game on the last play of the night. (If we had lights we would of won.) We still came out with a 6-6 tie with Nichols JHS. After this week I'm even more proud of Brik. Everybody wants to be a QB, RB, WR, etc. But the Center is over looked way to often. With the 6 other JH/Middle school teams I've seen I can easily say Brik's hard work at centering the ball is ahead of the others at his age. Coach Allen told Brik to work on centering last spring & he spent the summer doing that & it has payed off.

This week I got the chance to go to the Danny Jones vs T.A. Howard game to watch some of my former players. Curtis, Dejuan, & Travonne had good games. The Danny Jones coach needs to get Aaron the ball. Howard wins a close one 7-6.
